Program Studi Teknik Mesin 

Program Studi Teknik Mesin adalah tempat yang luar biasa dan transformatif yang menyediakan lingkungan yang unik dan mendebarkan untuk penelitian dan untuk studi lanjutan, dan mahasiswa adalah bagian penting dan dihargai dari komunitas UNS yang lebih luas. Mahasiswa bersama para dosen berada di garis depan penelitian yang dilakukan untuk pembangunan Indonesia. 

Pendirian Program Studi Teknik Mesin (PSTM) Fakultas Teknik Universitas Sebelas Maret dirintis sejak tahun 1996 dengan pendirian Program Pendidikan Keahlian Teknik (PPKT) yang bekerja sama dengan Balai Latihan Kerja Indoensia (BLKI) Surakarta dan proses rekrutmen tujuh orang sebagai staf pengajar pada tahun 1996 tersebut.

Dimulai dengan pendirian Program Diploma (D3) pada Agustus tahun 1997 dan dikuatkan dengan SK Menteri Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan nomor 33/DIKTI/Kep/1999 pada tanggal 17 Februari 1999, pendirian Program Studi Teknik Mesin dilanjutkan dengan terbentuknya Program Sarjana (S1) sejak tahun 1998 dengan SK Dirjen DIKTI no. 53/DIKTI/Kep/1998 yang dilanjutkan pada tahun 2009 dengan pendirian Program Magister (S2) berdasarkan SK Dirjen Dikti Depdiknas 2331/D/T/2009, dan terakhir pendirian program Doktor (S3) pada tahun 2016 berdasar SK Menteri Riset Teknologi, Pendidikan Tinggi nomor 62/KPT/I/2016 pada tanggal 1 Februari 2016.

Students and lecturers are at the forefront of research carried out for Indonesia's development.

The establishment of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program (PSTM) at the Faculty of Engineering, Sebelas Maret University was initiated in 1996 with the establishment of the Technical Skills Education Program (PPKT) in collaboration with the Indonesian Job Training Center (BLKI) Surakarta and the recruitment process of seven people as teaching staff in 1996. .

Starting with the establishment of the Diploma Program (D3) in August 1997 and strengthened by the Ministerial Decree of the Ministry of Education and Culture number 33/DIKTI/Kep/1999 on 17 February 1999, the establishment of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program was continued with the establishment of the Undergraduate Program (S1) in 1998 with Decree of the Director General of Higher Education no. 53/DIKTI/Kep/1998 which was continued in 2009 with the establishment of a Masters Program (S2) based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education 2331/D/T/2009, and finally the establishment of a Doctoral Program (S3) in 2016 based on the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, Education High number 62/KPT/I/2016 on February 1 2016.
